Whether you are here to buy or commission a work of art or simply to pay a visit, we hope you enjoy what you see here. However, before beholding the following works, erase any expectations you might have that you will encounter a consistent “style.” Like Ernst and Picasso, Chris French ties himself to no singular style. Rather, he wishes to arrest and disarm, to extract people from their lives so that they can, at least for a moment, exist entirely within the world of the painting. Chris French wants to share the experience of seeing as completely as if the viewer had been experiencing along with him. As his former art teacher, Glenn Curtis, had once said, When you paint a pear, you want to paint a real pear that you can smell and taste…It should be falling out of the canvas. Chris French paints landscapes and portraits by commission and on assignment. Though many of the works here are sold, if you are moved by his paintings and you would like to buy or commission a work, this is the right place for you. The price range is $700 (for smaller paintings) to $4000 (for larger paintings).
